Words from Lötschental

During the landslide disaster in Blatten and Ried on May 28, 2025, our three member businesses, the life's work of several generations, were destroyed and buried deep under rubble. The campsite on the Fafleralp is not affected, but cannot be reached for the 2025 and 2026 seasons due to the destruction of the valley road. Français

Our teams and our families are all safe. Of course, we are all deeply shaken and endlessly saddened. We feel supported by the many comforting expressions of solidarity and find strength in our belief in the future – for the Lötschental and for ourselves. 

The hotel cooperation lives on! Whether it's to get Camping Fafleralp up and running again as soon as possible, or to be able to offer you new hotel beds in Lötschenal again as quickly as possible. We will communicate at the appropriate time. 

We would like to thank you, dear guests, for your many years of “hospitality” and the memories you have shared with us. For your summer mountain stays, we are happy to recommend other great, owner-operated family businesses in the Swiss Alps.

Welcome to Lötschental! Enjoy an authentic Lötschental holiday experience in one of our three time-honoured, family-run hotels or at the Fafleralp campsite.

... this is how we have welcomed our guests to this website for the past 12 years. Unfortunately, this lively collaboration has taken on a completely different meaning since the disaster in Blatten. We are continuing to work on the tourist attractions in Blatten and the Lötschental valley and will remain actively committed to the future. 

We are leaving this page up as a small ‘memorial’ so that you and we can enjoy reminiscing about the old days from time to time. 

Strong together. That was our slogan – and it spread throughout the entire Lötschental. Because only together can we bring the valley back to life after this disaster. But please note that many businesses and attractions in the Lötschental are still there for you and look forward to welcoming you. Because the motto remains: Simply experience more holidays in the Lötschental.
